Recruiting Coordinator

The Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of logistical and administrative activities in support of the recruiting function across the Firm.  The coordinator will support the Recruiting Manager with the planning and execution of the summer associate program, lateral hiring, and executing the firm’s overall hiring strategy. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate the on-campus interview process (OCI), including hosting hospitality suites, when needed, preparing interview materials, scheduling callback interviews, following up with attorneys for evaluations, organizing agenda materials for hiring meetings, and sending appropriate communications to candidates regarding their employment status.
  • Coordinate interviews for lateral and clerk candidates at the direction of the Recruiting Manger. Coordinate interview schedules, collect interviewer feedback, manage viRecruit updating, and prepare materials for hiring partners.
  • Serve as a point of contact for legal placement agencies and/or prospective candidates from the initial screening stage through decision stage.
  • Help to identify and organize outreach initiatives by attending and engaging candidates at 1L and/or clerk recruiting receptions.
  • Manage and track relationships/sponsorships with on-campus student groups throughout the year.
  • Assist with arranging on-campus events, including the coordination of travel for the attorneys, sending appropriate materials, and liaising with student organizations.
  • Support the execution of the Summer Associate Program. Including logistical planning, work assignment tracking, preparing for evaluations, processing invoices/payments, and tracking overall financial obligations. 
  • Organize, execute, and attend summer program social events, trainings and other duties associated with the summer program as directed.
  • Ensure all candidate statuses are updated in the recruiting database, viRecruit, to ensure the recruiting statistics and data can be generated with accuracy.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the legal recruiting team, including ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years recruiting experience, ideally in the law firm environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in database programs such as viRecruit (or LawCruit), Symplicity, etc.
  • Highly motivated with strong initiative skills and exceptional attention to detail, understanding how smaller pieces or details fit into a larger plan or project.
  • Effective communication skills with strong interpersonal skill
  • Takes ownership over tasks & demonstrates the ability to operate both within a team and autonomously.
