Law360 Names Temidayo Aganga-Williams a 2025 Rising Star

Temidayo Aganga-Williams was named by Law360 as one of the publication's 2025 Rising Stars. This exclusive list honors lawyers under the age of 40 for their career accomplishments in their respective practice areas.

Temidayo was recognized for his work in white-collar litigation. Throughout his career as a litigator, he has represented numerous individuals and entities in financial fraud investigations conducted by the DOJ, SEC, and other governmental agencies. Among his most recent victories, Temidayo was a leader on the team that successfully defended Steven E. Schwartz, Cognizant’s former Chief Legal Officer, against a federal criminal indictment that alleged he helped facilitate an unlawful payment to a foreign government official. Temidayo provided strategic advice on the case and partnered with co-counsel to defend against a novel application of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, leading the DOJ to dismiss the indictment and bringing an end to the long-running matter.

Prior to joining Selendy Gay, Temidayo served as Senior Investigative Counsel for the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol. Before that, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

The Law360 honor is one of many prestigious accolades Temidayo has received. He is a recipient of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Assistant Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service, as well as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations’ Investigative Group of the Year Award. He is ranked nationally by Chambers and Partners as a leading lawyer in “White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations” and by Lawdragon as one of the 500 Leading Lawyers in America. He has also appeared on Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under list and the New York Law Journal’s Rising Stars list.
