Selendy Gay is proud to announce the elevation of Laura King to partner, effective January 1, 2026.

Laura is a litigator with experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation, and regulatory and criminal investigations. Her recent victories include defending a technology-focused venture capital firm and its founders in a long-running arbitration, achieving a complete victory against former investors challenging a management buyout transaction. She also secured a sweeping ruling that TennCare, Tennessee’s Medicaid program, violates the Constitution and federal law, in a class action brought on behalf of 100,000 enrollees who were improperly disenrolled from coverage.
She currently represents the Litigation Oversight Committee on behalf of Genesis Global Holdco, LLC, in a lawsuit seeking the return of crypto assets worth approximately $2.2 billion.
Laura’s promotion brings the firm to 20 partners and more than 60 associates, all focused on complex litigation, arbitration, and investigations.
