Aleksandra “Ola” Topczewska is an attorney with experience in complex matters related to financial products, environmental law, and civil rights law. In both public and private practice, Ola has handled research, discovery, and applied data analytics in her representation of clients and government entities involved in regulatory investigations and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Selendy Gay, Ola was an enforcement attorney at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. In this role, she worked on disputes involving fact-intensive complaints alleging violations of federal consumer protection law.
During law school, Ola interned with the United States Department of Justice in the Civil Rights Division, where she supported complex litigation in the Housing and Civil Enforcement section. She also completed internships with the Legal Aid Society, Earthjustice, and the New Economy Project.
Prior to her legal career, Ola worked in data and analytics as an applied data scientist and team lead, providing data-driven strategic recommendations to private companies, large advocacy organizations, and political campaigns for federal office.
Ola holds a J.D. from New York University and a B.A. in Government from Harvard University. She served as the Executive Editor of the New York University Environmental Law Journal and was awarded the Christian Jarecki ’98 Memorial Prize and the Clinical Legal Education Association’s Outstanding Clinic Student Award in recognition of her work with NYU’s Civil Rights and Racial Justice Clinic.
