
Tom Orewyler is Communications Director at Selendy Gay, where he leads the firm’s external and internal communications, including strategy, thought leadership, and firmwide messaging.
Tom has more than 15 years of experience leading communications functions at leading law firms. Before joining Selendy Gay, he was Director, Communications & Media at Baker Botts, where he advised the Chair, COO, and General Counsel on executive communications, media strategy, and public positioning.
Previously, Tom held senior communications positions at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Debevoise & Plimpton, where he focused on media relations, reputation management, and leadership communications.
Tom has extensive experience building and protecting brands, positioning executives through thought leadership, and developing strategic communications programs. He is a former journalist and trained attorney.
Tom earned a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Appellate Advocacy, and a B.A. from UCLA, where he was a reporter for the Daily Bruin.
