New York Law Journal Recognizes David Flugman and Lena Konanova

David Flugman and Lena Konanova, partners at Selendy Gay, were recognized by New York Law Journal.

Flugman was named to the list of NYLJ’s Diversity Initiative honorees, which celebrates lawyers who have made a significant contribution to progressing diversity and inclusion efforts in New York’s legal community. David’s active public interest practice has long focused on the advancement of LGBTQ+ rights; one of his most notable wins involved successfully representing Garden State Equality in preserving a ban on so-called “gay conversion therapy.” He heads Selendy Gay’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and frequently writes and speaks on the topic, with a special focus on LGBTQ+ issues.

Konanova was awarded the title of Rising Star, which recognizes the region’s most promising lawyers under 40. This award follows her recent naming to Bloomberg Law’s 40 Under 40 List. Konanova is noted for her expertise in complex commercial litigation, having counseled numerous Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes disputes. Recently, she’s been recognized for her work representing public service workers in a class action lawsuit concerning a federal student loan forgiveness program.
