Litigator Babak Ghafarzade Selected for LCLD’s Pathfinder Program

Selendy & Gay is pleased to announce that Babak Ghafarzade has been selected for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s (LCLD) 2021 Pathfinder Program. Now in its seventh year, the program helps distinguished young lawyers cultivate leadership skills, build professional networks and successfully develop their careers.

Recognized as a “Rising Star” in business litigation by Super Lawyers, Ghafarzade is experienced in white-collar defense, regulatory enforcement investigations and actions, and complex commercial disputes and arbitrations. He has represented corporations and individuals in the financial, real estate, technology and entertainment industries, among others.

In his public interest practice, Ghafarzade has represented immigrants seeking asylum, challenging the conditions of their confinement and appealing orders of removal. He has also conducted screening interviews of defendants in the Queens Human Trafficking Intervention Court and provided legal assistance to participants in a diversion program for young defendants in the Eastern District of New York.

Selendy & Gay is an active supporter of LCLD programming, including its 1L Scholars Program.
