
Kevin Cheng earned his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was a symposium editor of the Yale Journal of Law & the Humanities. During his time in law school, Kevin represented immigrants in detention, low-wage workers, and a nationwide class of DACA recipients and DACA-eligible individuals as a law student intern for the Worker & Immigrant Rights Advocacy Clinic.
Prior to law school, Kevin was a Development Manager for the Brooklyn Community Bail Fund, which has freed over 4,000 legally innocent New Yorkers from pretrial detention. Kevin joined Selendy Gay in May 2023 and returned to the firm after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Allyne R. Ross of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (2025–2026).
