Liam Murphy is a litigator with experience in high-stakes securities and commercial litigation, white-collar criminal defense, and regulatory enforcement.

Since earning his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Liam has worked for two preeminent law firms, defending C-suite executives, billion-dollar companies, and a senior presidential advisor against actions brought by the DOJ, SEC, Treasury Department, and State Attorney Generals.  At Selendy Gay Elsberg, Liam has experience representing an array of clients, including the Liquidators of Bernie Madoff feeder funds, top law firms, cryptocurrency investors, corporate shareholders and directors, founders of global companies, and founders of international environmental nonprofits.  In his pro bono practice, Liam has represented members of Congress and firearm suicide survivors on constitutional issues involving gun violence prevention. 

Outside his legal practice, Liam is a published author in esteemed legal journals, including the International Financial Law Review, Law360, and the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law, on a variety of legal topics covering developments in regulatory enforcement.
