
Roy Sengupta is an attorney with experience in complex commercial litigation, arbitration, and investigations. He represents clients in high-stakes disputes involving intellectual property, securities, bankruptcy, antitrust, and class action matters.
Prior to joining Selendy Gay, Roy served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert E. Bacharach of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He previously served as law clerk for the Honorable Brian R. Martinotti of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Roy began his legal career as an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, where he served as a member of multiple trial and hearing teams in the firm’s International Arbitration, IP, and Commercial Litigation groups. In this role, he first-chaired depositions, led defensive witness preparation, and advised clients on potential claims and settlement amounts.
Roy earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and was an article editor for the Harvard International Law Journal.
